Yes, it's very nice, but similar to a few other Jack Catlin Aeonium canariense x A. arboreum 'Zwartkop’ hybrids. Probably 'Jack Catlin' is nicer. 'Garnet' is similar too, and 'Voodoo,' which I don't have...

Ok, will get on it. They're not looking their best anymore, so I might wait 6 months...

Mine are slowly coming back to life as it cools down. I will post pictures when they're looking happy again. Aeoniums love California winter weather.

Re: Aeonium arboreum "velour"
Our winter just finished and they were growing like crazy. Now is our spring but it is more like summer. I imported some sunburst cuttings from Ebay California> and from 5 cm rosette they have shoots now and rosette of 30cm in 3 month....they grew so fast.Viegener wrote:Mine are slowly coming back to life as it cools down. that's my photo in Davesgarden that started off the entry... sadly I have lost the original due to computer melt down problems (lost over a million photos sadly). But here it is from Davesgarden.

Neli, Sunburst really dislikes the hot weather in Southern California. I wonder how it will do for you.

We dont have much heat here. It gets morning sun under a palm tree . Our temps are much lower than yours.Viegener wrote:Neli, Sunburst really dislikes the hot weather in Southern California. I wonder how it will do for you.
We are in our summer now and look at the temperatures. Everybody thinks Africa is hot he he he. But here we are not. Almost the same whole year round>winter min 6C for few nights and summer max 30 for few days.
But we have rain season...not too much rain though.
