Re: Agave bovicornuta
This is truly one of the most beautiful agaves that I have seen. I have one plant, and yes it gives me grief.

I like that species too, it does very well in dry conditions. One of mine has just bloomed and
i have to propagate it now with a few left seeds

You are lucky to get that far. I have one small plant which came from seeds. I found growing them via seeds very difficult. One by one they perished. Another thing, you have to be careful with the sun. Too much sun and they are gone. My young plant only survived because I kept it in the middle of the greenhouse. Jkw

Re: Agave bovicornuta
Thank you for that information! I have replanted my 2 Agave bovicornuta to a not full sun location because they always were more yellow than green. The one you show here has much broader leaves as the ones i cultivate and they look much nicer than mine. They are much more beautiful, I have to grow Agave bovicornuta from seed because my second plant will also bloom soon and they never produce pups.Jkwinston wrote:You are lucky to get that far. Re: Agave bovicornuta
Do A bovicornuta produce bulbils? There is a well seeded stalk at a local garden with a nice clump of bulbils at the top. At least it was called A bovicornuta.
