Re: Euphorbia leucadendron
Already in the gallery under its synonym Euphorbia alluadii.... though tempted to put it back under leucodendron since that's how most people know it... Plantlist.org in Kew (big naming plant site) has it this way. PS. commonly misspelled with and 'a' but pretty sure it's an 'o'.

Hm, this is the second plant I've added this week that I got told to delete because it's got a new name, despite doing a web search first. Gah.

When I added this plant last year I had always known it as the name you have it listed under... but when I looked it up just to see how tall it got (gets to be a tree in Africa) I was shocked to see this other name as the 'accepted' name as I had never heard of it... taxonomists can never leave anything alone.

Thanks for the clarification, Geoff. For what it's worth, here's some background from the San Marcos Growers website:Geoff wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 7:04 am Already in the gallery under its synonym Euphorbia alluadii.... though tempted to put it back under leucodendron since that's how most people know it... "The plant was described as Euphorbia alluaudii [note spelling] in 1903 by the French botanist Emmanuel Drake del Castillo (1855–1904). Its likeness to another Madagascar plant, Alluaudia dumosa in the Didiereaceae, gave this plant the name of Euphorbia alluaudii Drake and though this name is listed as the current name on The Plant List (collaboration between the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and the Missouri Botanic Garden) most references still use the name Euphorbia leucodendron [yes, it's an "o"] Drake for this plant."

Re: Euphorbia leucodendron
Anyway, here's my specimen. I just thinned a lot of old growth, so it looks a bit sparse. And it demonstrates the shrub-like habit that San Marcos Growers says is typical in drier climates. I may try watering more to see if it will grow taller and greener.
