I really enjoy the display when they bloom but they don't last long enough.

Mckinney, Texas. 30 Miles North of Dallas. What I'm trying to grow: A ovatifolia: whales tongue, frosty blue, vanzie, sharkskin, parrasana, montana, parryi JC Raulston, Bellville, Bluebell Giant, havardiana, polianthiflora, parviflora, havardiana x neomexicana

Embrace the event that the brevity of flowering creates! If things last forever they become a bit less special in my opinion!

You could get a species like Gymno Andreae which constantly blooms for months.
