Fouquieria on social media

#1

Post by nsp88 »

Might as well start a social media thread for these, although I doubt I will ever have much to put in it. This post did catch my eye, though. I guess they wanted to keep it in a compact form, so it didn't sprawl into the walkway. Not my cup of tea, but interesting. Not criticizing the account/metal artist, by the way.

That appears to be Alluaudia procera, rather than a Fouquieria.
Agave
"American aloe plant," 1797, from Greek Agaue, proper name in mythology (mother of Pentheus), from agauos "noble," perhaps from agasthai "wonder at".
